Tommy, that's a powerful post. 

 

But exaggerated surely. I mean, most drinkers don't suffer the awful consequences you graphically describe.

 

For example, a close friend of mine drinks 4 cans of super-strong  (9%)  lager daily.  And has done for the last 20 years, without any sign of physical or mental harm.  This shows that it's probably due to genetic make-up.  Some people can tolerate alcoholic drink, and others can't.

 

Like with bee-stings.  Some people, if stung by a bee, collapse in allergenic convulsions and die. But most of us just swat the silly bee, shrug off the transient pain, and carry on.  

 

Therefore, while I respect your well-intentioned considerations, aren't you overdoing it a bit?
