It's the same with everything these days. Twiddle, twiddle, twiddle.

 

The reason is the people involved have too much time on their hands so have to keep thinking up new things to "show" that they're "working" and their job is necessary.

 

Mind you, some of the users also have too much time on their hands and in an unguarded moment will admit that they enjoy finding out how to find their way round the new format all of which encourages the fiddlers to fiddle some more!

 

I forgot to say that many years back it was realised the motto here is "If it ain't broke, fix it 'till it is".
