Have any of you used the new version of Google Maps? No longer can you change back to the Classic version. New one in my opinion is just awful. Navigating around is a total nightmare. Why destroy something that was good and easy to use? There's a petition to try and get the Classic version back

Do you love or hate this new version?

Thanks for those links! The first link is the best. Just hope it doesn't change to the new version.

I bookmarked that a while back as I didn't like the "new" version.
I prefer the "Satellite view" rather than "Earth" in the new version.

Me too! As for the the new "circular" arrows swing/spin round in the new version - nauseous! Why fix something if it's not broke?

It's the same with everything these days. Twiddle, twiddle, twiddle.
The reason is the people involved have too much time on their hands so have to keep thinking up new things to "show" that they're "working" and their job is necessary.
Mind you, some of the users also have too much time on their hands and in an unguarded moment will admit that they enjoy finding out how to find their way round the new format all of which encourages the fiddlers to fiddle some more!
I forgot to say that many years back it was realised the motto here is "If it ain't broke, fix it 'till it is".
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.

Thank you for those links ceedee.
I find the new version to be just abysmal and street view is now so often 'fish-eye' view so everything is out of perspective.
Utter rubbish.
The old maps showed far more info and detail too.

I've found another link for the Classic version but it does say it will be updating soon. It works for now though https://www.google.de/lochp
