I don't believe I am missing the point, the point being you'd be happy to see him dead. The trouble is you seem to be trying to use an analogy to illustrate your point when actually all you need to do is say 'you'd be happy to see him executed'!

There's no need to use daft comparisons to suggest why, you don't need to justify the way you feel as it's perfectly understandable.
