Tear Drops

I’ve shed few tears up to now for you

My memories Dad were getting me through

It was you Dad that taught me all I know

You nurtured me and helped me grow

I thank you Dad for making me strong

For lovingly teaching me right from wrong

You were always there when I needed you

As growing up got tuff you saw me through

It was today Dad I had a tear in my eye

Today was the day I had to say goodbye

It seemed strange to scatter you round that tree

But now the willow belongs to you and me

A place where you and me can say hello

And together watch the pretty flowers grow

I’ll visit with my memories from time to time

We can quietly sit in the warm sunshine

I loved you Dad with all my heart

It was today I realised we’ve had to part

So with love and tears I look up to the sky

My heart full of thanks I say Goodbye
