Well I guess if they only had a pound in assets each then that is all that could be recovered under the proceeds of crime procedure - you can't take something from them they don't have!

My thoughts exactly, Creeky, but the post is worded so it reads as an accusation without actually being one.

There is no suggestion that he is a paedophile.

The ladies post wasn't implying anything, it was merely stating her opinion that he might/would join "friends" of that ilk who're in jail.
The thing about it is, that a few people who've been either convicted or accused have worked for the BBC (a common denominator?) and therefore might be classed as "friends".

Exactly so.
The lady's post was extremely well written, as was mine.
As I said "some people"
the implication about the lady was not from me, the assumation was from you.

If a former BBC employee were found guilty of shoplifting, I doubt anyone would be jumping up and down saying they would be joined their paedo friends in jail. Ergo, it is the offence that creates the connection, not the previous employment, in this case. And that is not justified, IMV.

There seems to be quite a number of past BBC employees that have been accused (some convicted) of such offences so the connection is quite justified.

I don't think I'd consider anyone convicted of a paedophile offence as a friend - no matter how close the 'connection'.
Maybe others would ???

Not Me I'm afraid, I'm far too fussy about the company I keep. However, if you spend your Life in a Moral Sewer; your friends are likely to be of the same "ilk".............regardless of what "Aires & Graces" they may put on.

I presume that because it was a grope rather than R the judge thinks he has been punished enough with losing his house, reputation etc. however if he tries it on again with anyone the full force of the law will descend on his head is that correct?

Why such joy?
No custodial sentence, no fine, no community service - simply told not to do it again.
Total waste of time, money and resources in my opinion.
