Okay, I understand where you're coming from, and you are right.

 

But.... I f you are watching certain TV Channels, then that is the price you have to pay. 

Same with certain Radio Stations.

 

In my case Flyers and  some Mail go straight to the Recycling Bin.

I just don't listen to Local Radio Stations. (hate the ad jingles with a passion)

I record TV where ads are on, so I can fast forward, you only need to record 20 minutes in advance, to be advert free.

Spam email gets binned unopened.

I ignore adverts in newspapers, but am glad they are there, hopefully keeping the price of the Tabloids down.

 

Adverts will only get to you if you let them, and ads fund so much of our entertainment.

 

As for them being counterproductive, who cares, maybe they are, maybe they aren't, but as long as they fund my entertainment, I will tolerate them, and continue to hope that the people who want to advertise think that they are very productive.
