I don't think anybody apart from an abuser would suggest they put up with it !,but violence is not the answer,as they say 2 wrongs don't make a right and would lead as I've said to the woman being sacked,or even being charged for assault,even complaing to the police has led to women being ostracised and more or less forced them to leave their employment,those are I would think the main reasons women don't complain at the time of the unacceptable behaviour,when they have left that situation maybe years later when the threat of the sack is not hanging over them and other women maybe from the same firm have come forward and complained to the police,that then gives them the push to make their own complaint and makes them realise that they weren't "giving them the go ahead"
