Some Sellers maintain that incorporated in the shipping ( postage ) cost, are handling charges ie. cost of wrapping paper, time spent packaging the item(s) etc. etc. If you are thinking of buying multiple items from the same seller, it's always a good idea to check with them first; to see if they are prepared to combine postage................if not, don't deal with them............they're the ones losing the business and you'll almost certainly find what you want somewhere else.
