Well I have a disposition where I notice much that the media do to attempt to influence the audience, this means I notice the way they try to hype stuff up by using emotive words such as worryingly, shockingly, bizarrely etc. I like to decide for myself whether someone's actions are worrying or shocking, I don't appreciate media sources trying to tell me how I should feel about something and therefore I tend to pick up on such emotive words when I see them.

You may indeed find Rolf's actions creepy or bizarre, I just wanted to suggest there may have been other explanations.
