The child is only 9 months old so would not be able to express if they were actually feeling cold ...they certainly looked a little cold in the picture provided for the press photo.
The child may have been too young to express if she was feeling cold verbally but I'm sure she would have shown her distress in other ways by crying and shivering etc.
Also she wasn't just sitting in a pushchair getting cold, she was running around which would have kept her warm. My face always goes bright red in the cold even though I am actually as warm as toast - some people just have that kind of complexion.
It may be that it does seem a little heavy handed that the police were involved but it was the childs welfare that was being considered ...and that is paramount ....
Clearly the police didn't think there was a problem but I totally agree that the childs welfare is paramount...sometimes, though a bit of common sense wouldn't go amiss.
