Good manners cost nothing. If someone has gone to the trouble to buy a present, then a thank you very much, and a show of appreciation is the very least that should be reciprocated.

 

Next time pinkpowderpuff, make a donation to charity in her name, and show her  the appropriate paperwork.

 

You can then (if you like) explain that you did it because she didn't seem to appreciate the last present, so this way a good cause benefits in her name.
