Just a thought - if the "Truth" of this event (if there is such a thing) is known to those occupying the highest circles in our government here in the USA, then it must be, by definition, highly explosive in such a way that if it were somehow known to the public, a violent reaction, perhaps even war, would be called for.  

Better, perhaps, to let the lunatic fringe expound its many theories, thus giving a relief valve of sorts to the built up pressures.  In a practical sense, this leaves us with just two choices:  First, that something highly catastrophic at the highest government levels did actually happen, or Second, that it was just a lone disaffected mad man who shot him, for reasons little understood.

I tend to believe it was the latter, but it is disturbing that he was never allowed to speak before he was shot.
