Authententic Mulberry Bag failed the authenticity check

I just had a black authentic Muberry handbag sent for the authenticity check and it failed, even though it is 100% genuine. It had all the usual authenticity features, logos, brasswear, original dustcover, plus the original shop receipt.  When I called Customer Services, they said there was nothing I could do and that the bag was being returned to me and my buyer refunded.  Has anyone else experienced this?
