Good afternoon folks - Are you aware that you seem to have a glitch around dispatching items? I have had over 20 notifications in the last hour alone telling me that 'dispatch is overdue' for different sales.

In every case the item has been correctly marked at dispatched and this seems to have been going on for a couple of days now.

Any idea when it might be fixed?

Thanks

Did that tag you?

And will you be answering my final question?

Thanks

Hi suelel1968, thanks for your reply.

Yep, that did work.

What question are you referring to exactly?

Thanks,

Marco

Hi @jamjartoys ,

This was reported and confirmed as resolved. Can you share a screenshot of what your view is for overdue orders.  Did this starting happening for you today?

Thank you,

Kat

I appreciate that everything is beyond your control, but with the number of posts that there are on the forum and here in the Community Team chat it would be more helpful to give us some more details. I have been 'following' roughly 40 sellers that are (to a blind man) obviously business seller trading illegally since the zero fees were introduced in October, and they are all still trading as 'Private' - undercutting genuine seller like myself and losing revenue to ebay!

Marco@ebay replying to @555jnp stating

I've just double checked there, and there is nothing particularly impacting sales at the moment. Please note that eBay's main income is fees from sellers, so if there was anything negatively impacting sales, we would jump in there straight away to get it resolved as this matter would be considered priority for us.

Well if ebay were to make the illegally trading private sellers to register correctly, their revenue would be a lot hight! And correctly registered business sellers wouldn't be so peed off with the apparent lack of interest from ebay.

I have asked many times how we can report these sellers (with some actual result), but the reply is always 'we will get back to you'. Please how can we report them?

Thankyou for checking.

the question about having a forum for private sellers

Hi Kat  - just sent you a screenshot by PM of the latest ones I have received - I am still getting them as I type! It started either yesterday or the day before - but it's clearly not resolved. None of the items I am getting notifications on are in my overdue orders - because I don't have any!

Last week I asked about why order details from messages were missing for months. I was told there was no update. Less than 24 hours later, the order details returned to messages.

Do you think there's room for improvement in communication between the teams you're reporting to and the community team? Surely if something was being pushed through and you'd passed on our feedback, they should be updating you with what's happening?

Thanks for your reply, funkybunnie-direct.

We're aware as we are constantly checking the boards, so we pass on all your feedback and thoughts on it.

To report them, you can use this link and select the "The seller has violated one of eBay’s policies" and then "Other", and then enter the seller ID and your description.

Thank you,

Marco

Hi Community Team

In response to marco@ebay

“Please note that eBay's main income is fees from sellers, so if there was anything negatively impacting sales, we would jump in there straight away to get it resolved as this matter would be considered priority for us.”

Then how about a reporting system that allowed users to actually flag these incorrectly registered sellers?

Hi suelel1968, thanks for your reply.

There are no plans for this at the moment. However, I can pass on your feedback on this to see if this is something that could potentially be done in the future. In the meantime, you could any board you wish, but Seller Central is the one I'd particularly recommend.

Thank you,

Marco

Yes I've done that. But only response I have ever received is that the seller isn't violating any ebay policies ....

Thanks for your reply, funkybunnie-direct

I appreciate they're probably not the outcome you're hoping for when you report items, but as advised before, this is the best way to do it, and all these reports are always reviewed and taken into consideration, we also encourage users to report anything they think is against policy as that help us as well.

Thank you,

Marco

Hi @darth_baggins ,

We had shared the feedback for improvements to the messages system last year so it was great to see the order details enhancement go live.

While we do keep in contact with the development teams they cannot always give exact timescales of when changes go live. However there is always room for improvement.

Thank you,

Kat

Hi @guymafo

The reporting process is something we receive a lot of feedback on. We have been passing these concerns on to the site team as suggestion for improvements. We are currently working with them on this and we will share more as we have it.

Thanks,

Dave

Hi @jamjartoys ,

Thanks for the examples. I'll share these with the tech team and follow up with you once I get an update.

Hi @lincolnshiremarine ,

After linking in with the shipping team they have confirmed that no,  PayPal cannot be set as a default setting. There is no current plans to introduce this.

Thank you,

Hello,

I have a couple of questions.

I have already asked this of @marco twice by tagging him in, but no joy.

The press report on MSC states that the new buyer fees will not apply under 99p. Is that correct?

Also, there are differing views on when changes on existing listings will take place. Will buyer fees be added to existing listings on the 4th Feb or just as and when they are relisted?

Finally. I cannot access Simple Delivery when listing clothing and i am told by CS that is because i use Postage policies.  If that is correct how can we even try out the system to get used to it, see what carriers we can use and how much they will cost?

Thank you for what you do and the flack you take, even from me above Marco, but now is not the time to ignore issues raised on the boards, nor to continue  to allow every thread to turn into a vendetta against private sellers. Can we have a Private Seller board where only Private sellers can comment and we don't get our listings stalked by the usual suspects and the thread immediately taken off topic? Genuine question.

Hi suelel1968, thanks for your question.

Apologies if I haven't seen your tags, but if you are tagging me the way you did here with you "@marco" I wouldn't get notification, so I'd probably miss your message. If you click here, you can see how to tag us whenever you need something.

Regarding your question, it of my understanding that the fee will remain regardless of the amount of the transaction. However, I will double check that for you, and as soon as I get confirmation I will let you know here.

Thank you,

Marco

Hi suelel1968

I've just got confirmation that the buying fee will cover all transactions with private sellers, including those transactions under 99p.

Thank you,

Marco
