I've read that it's a safari specific issue, i've always accessed the site through safari on an iphone 7 and a few year old imac desktop, two different os but same issue on both.

Close to closing this *bleep* for good life is too short for this nonsense.

Hello,

This is still a massive issue for us and we are receiving a large number of customer messages who are now giving up and placing their orders else where. Any ideas on when this issue will be sorted so we can try and communicate to our customers as our ebay account managers are not responding to emails regarding this.

I have the same problem using Firefox on an iPhone 7...

If I was dealing with this I would reply to each comment to placate important customers, and get the tech department to get it sorted quickly, as it’s already been a week. You get the feeling that it’s not important to them.

Seems it's not just Safari. I'm on firefox, laptop, with firefox up-to-date.

I have managed to buy two things, two sellers, by clicking Buy It Now.  But even then it took several goes as at check-out I kept getting a red banner error message when I try to Add Note for Seller, which is required to state the Colour / Size I want, and the red banner takes you out of check-out and as it's Buy It Now I was left with an empty Basket.

I cleared cache and cold-booted in case it was a problem on my device. No problems elsewhere on the internet. The same problem arose some weeks ago with posts on the discussion boards, also affecting several browser makes.

It's particularly a problem as I can't Add To Basket to buy different sizes of an item that are on the same page via a drop-down menu - clicking Add To Basket just doesn't do anything - and I want the combined postage that happens via Simple Delivery; if I buy them individually postage would be about £27 instead of about £4 with combined postage! Ditto re several other multi-choice items.

Lots of sales are apparently being lost due to this. Please sort this out urgently, eBay thanks.

Two hours spent on this and only two purchases to show for it. I'm giving up for today.

Hi All,

Thank you for your recent replies and I understand the need to have this resolved as quickly as possible. I have provided all the examples from users who have posted.

It has been escalated from our side to the tech team who are currently working on it. While we don't have control over the timeframe the soonest I get an update I will let everyone know.

Thank you,

Kat

I am also having this issue and I am on a completely different operating system to those above. I am on Linux Mint 22 and using Firefox. All my software is up to date.  I am a web developer with twenty years experience and can assure you that this is a problem with the site.

It doesn't seem to happen in Chrome, but that is not the point - I don't want to be using that browser. At the moment, there are several actions that I cannot take in my preferred browser and am required to move over to my iPad to perform.

In addition to this, pictures don't show when you click on a thumbnail in messages, you just get an empty box.

I have noticed that there are several errors in my browser console when I open the page (see attached image).

Chrome doesn’t work on iphone 7plus either.
