my account messed up

hi ever since i went into chat and asked someone to change my user name because the option wasnt there,they seem to have ruined my page ,i cannot make offers,i cannot click on my name top left,icannot report an issue goes to some connection termination blank page,i also get this when making an offer 

So basically i cant even report an issue or now contact ebay..............

To add to this i left ebay several months ago with 4000 purchase/sales 100% feedback because of issues like this ,what is going on

Try contacting ebay on your phone.   You can ring them or request they ring you by viewing this link on your phone only - not on a laptop or PC:

Why did you ask “someone” to change your user name? You can do it yourself, then it would not have got into this mess.

you have to wait 30 days or something to change your user name when youve changed before,,the time had passed and there was nothing i could click on to change my user name ,i contacted an assistant who messed with it,they said was fixed,but obviously they messed it up.Hence where im at now.

As I said earlier, you need to view the link on your phone.    It doesn't work on a laptop.

Must be something really wrong you r link doesnt connect either,i give up with ebay,thanks for the help

The point is my ebay on my laptop was perfectly fine for several months until someone from ebay messed it up.

I've had that connection error message on a couple of occasions, it shouldn't prevent you from using eBay, it should just be a momentary blip eBay's end.

 

Clear cookies and cache, the problem should go away.

 

Or you could try a different browser.

Hi done all that and followed all the other google links to the problem to no avail.i cant sign out on the top left it doesnt highlight it,i cant go to contact ebay ,i cant view watchlist,i cant view the 'bell' symbol at th top right,i cant make offers,

Ill wait until monday to speak to a real ebay person.Thanks.

My setup clears cookie and cache automatically on closure.Always has done

P.S 3 days its been like this.

firefox browser with the same settings as when it was working before

and using a panasonic toughbook laptop.

Everything was fine until i got an ebay helper to help change my name.

Nothing has been changed at my end,until the ebay helper messed it up

I'm out of ideas then, nobody else has reported this as an ongoing issue that I've seen.

thankyou for admitting out of ideas.Like i said i'll phone ebay monday and i may have a punt in the technical section.But looks like i.ll be giving the site a permanent wide berth in future.
