I bought a seatbelt from a vehicle breakers on eBay, the part was faulty and the seller gave me a postage label for return.
no shops accept the courier that the seller uses. I called the courier and arranged collection.
the courier is saying they attempted to collect the item twice, but they didn’t and I also checked the cctv to see if I had missed someone.
the seller isn’t being helpful at all.
do I just post the item back myself tracked? Or continue to attempt to arrange collection from this questionable courier?
the item is supposed to be returned by tomorrow, I’m not sure what happens when that timeframe expires?
any advice much appreciated

Are you still within 30 days of the item's last estimated date for delivery.
Then, contact Customer Services, explain you are trying to return a faulty item but the seller has provided an invalid return label, ask CS to send you the correct label, they should, and they'll charge it to the seller's account.
Contact CS with the link below for a Call Back option., Try at 8 a.m. on weekdays as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

If you don't return the item within the timeframe, the case will close in the seller's favour.
Personally, I would send it myself using a tracked service.
Then, contact Ebay Customer Services. Explain that you have used your own postage and get them to add the tracking number to the case. (Unless you can add the tracking to the case yourself.)
Use the link to get a callback.
