Hi,

I bought an item on eBay, and Amazon Logistics Europe delivered it to my designated click and collect shop.

All I got was an Amazon delivery email saying it was ready to collect.

I went to the shop yesterday, found my parcel, took it to the counter and the man there asked me for a barcode to scan.

I said I never received one from Amazon or eBay, but I showed him all the information on my phone which matched that on the parcel.

But he refused to let me take the package saying he needs to scan it out, and I have nothing to scan.

So I had to leave it there.

I emailed Amazon Logistics who responded with the most nonsensical and unhelpful message ever, you can't call them either.

I have messaged the seller but no response yet, possibly as it's the weekend.

But what am I supposed to do if I don't have any barcode?

 

If it's a Royal Mail delivery then they ask for is my ID but they didn't care for that.

This has happened to me for the second time in god knows how long. My parcel has been delivered to the shop but I can't get it due to no barcode sent. Its time Ebay fixed this problem otherwise its going to scare everyone off. Both Ebay and Collectplus need a better system that works not this. I've taken the matter up with Trustpilot for now and given them the tracking details so maybe it will make someone get their finger out and sort this once and for all.

 

I tried that and all I get is repeasted quesations from a robot not much good is it?

Also report it to Trustpilot for review and let others know about it. Eventually they will have to sort it out or lose customers. Also share it everywhere on social media.

Hi... I've just experienced the same thing with an item delivered to my local Argos.  The staff were super helpful and explained the process to me.

Turns out the ECP number is critical to the checking in process at the collection point and if your seller has not used the eBay provided address details that includes this ECP number, then the collection point cannot check it in and it sits in a limbo state.

Despite eBay promising to get an "internal team" to issue the code to me - based on the above information from Argos that promise is a pile of BS.

I took my order details (complete with the delivery address that included the ECP number) along with me and the staff used that code with their check in system and within a minute or two an email arrived on my phone with the collection barcode.  When they handed over the parcel, sure enough, there was only a handwritten label WITHOUT the ECP number.  Seller's mistake.

Hope this helps others in the same boat...

if i go to argos and they wont give my package i will go over the counter and get arrested 
and have a real problem with whoever called the police 
today i will go to argos 
and just fckin kick of till im arrested 
then that can go in the sellers trashed 

i say its your parcel and argos is basicaly stealing

i wont chase 
i paid someone didnt do their job 
seller will get their feeback trashed

You are clearly angry, what exactly has happened in your case?

The feedback would almost certainly be removed. 

hi someone hasnt done their job yet again
im veteran with high ptsd and high deppression also adhd
i contacted ebay yesterday and told its ok some one didnt put it away
properly
and still hasnt .
i do not have the energy to do someone elses job who gets paid to do it
2 nights bad sleep now because of anxiety as the order is to help my
stepdad who has alziemers.
now i have just found out
if i cant collect them i dont get my money back and ebay steals it or the
company
if that happns i will end up at the bussiness
and after i have had to spend money and travel which i find dificult it
wont go well

Truly we can see how upset and angry you are here,  but you have taken a lot of time to ' talk' to us here, and I promise it will take less time to contact Customer Services, their lines open at 9 a.m. today if you call then, there's more chance of Dublin answering  and they are very,  very helpful to receive that important code.

 

They will provide that essential code, and you must retrieve your item within 7 days of being notified that it's in store,  those are the rules.

 

The seller may have made a genuine mistake in forgetting to add the ecp number and a code should be sent to you via eBay messages or with your order details if not there, you must contact CS.

not my fault they will do the running around and fix it i paid and dont care if im arrested 
i have military mental health trying to help me 
could be quite funny if they get involved because i am arrested to find out what happened .

I took a copy of the details and the eCP number but they still couldn't do anything with it.

Ebay customer service is horrible now...   They really make it hard to speak to a human.  And whereas they used to fix your issues immediately using knowledgeable staff, now you get told very very slowly, (in chat)  "You are a wonderful customer.... a customer help desk person will be in touch with you within 2 to 3 days by email".  You can still opt to get a phone call, but I chose chat because it was very effective a couple of years ago last time I used it
