Re: Receiving funds faster question

Hi Everyone

Regarding the time it takes to receive funds after you've sold an item. I've sold 10 items over the past couple of months. When I check the payments section in MyEbay it shows the following below:-

Not entirely sure what your question is as your post appears to be incomplete?

To be eligible for faster payments you need to have 10 or more completed sales totalling £150 or more within the last 5 years. You appear to have met the 10 sales total but not the monetary total (your sales currently total around £100). It will also take around 15 days after meeting the thresholds before you will start getting the faster payments.

In addition you also need to have no more than 2 currently open requests/cases and no more than 2 transaction defects within the last 12 months.

Not sure what happened in my initial post. All that was missing was this banner below from the payments section in my ebay, which showed this message. It did confuse me and I just wanted to get some clarity.

It's because of eBay's new ruling / method for paying payouts faster.

This was their announcement last year....

From 6 August, we’re also making it easier and faster for our more experienced sellers to receive their funds. This means you can get your funds within 24 hours of the buyer paying. To qualify for faster payment, all you’ll need to do is:

Complete at least 10 sales with a total of £150 or more within the last 5 years
Maintain 2 or fewer cases in the last 12 months

Okay, so moving on that indicates that you'll now qualify to receive your payments sooner (unless you drop below the criteria).

Afternoon. Thanks all for your responses. I will just have to wait and see when the faster payments kick in, as previously mentioned I haven't quite hit the £150 sales threshold. It was just that message banner that cropped up recently had me wondering, but no fuss. Thanks again 🙂

Thank you for your response. Does it take a while for the faster payments to come into effect, as I sold an item last Friday and it was delivered today, but the funds won't be available until the 18th March.

I've just checked there and it looks like the transaction was indeed placed before you qualified for faster refund. The funds in question should be released by the end of the day tomorrow, if they are not released by then, let me know and I will give you a hand no problem.

Going forward, your payouts will be processed within 24 hours.
