I've just today had this same issue, from a buyer in the US (I'm UK based). All my items are supposed to be eligible but it appears none of them are displayed as such, even if I navigate to eBay.com and not eBay.co.uk. Frustrating.

Usually, it's because the 'Country of Origin' is not selected in the item details, this should allow it to be seen internationally. Then, also send them to the item on ebay.com and in theory, that should allow the purchase.

thank you for your response. Unfortunately that's not the case for me, I have filled out the Country of Origin section, and I've also checked with the prospective US buyer if they can see the global shipping programme option displayed via ebay.com, it is still not. I've even used a VPN to check myself and can confirm the same. I've left some feedback and will contact customer services again, there's no point in trading on here if potential buyers from other countries cannot benefit from the GSP.

That's a shame to read that there's still an issue. It honestly seems like a glitch that people have found a workaround, or at least I have, thus secured several international sales. The only other reason could be it's a kind of item you're selling that somehow doesn't fit their criteria... really hope you get some answers and are able to fix the issue soon. 👍

Which item is it? Fine arts are a prohibited item where GSP is concerned.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

Hello, thanks for your reply. I had the same thought, but when I spoke with customer service they assured me that it was eligible. It is a framed antique tapestry : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/297814768175

My issue though is that ALL of my items are not showing the GSP as being an option. I've checked using a VPN - if you're buying from the US it just says to contact the seller about shipping.

Whenever there is a discrepancy between eBay's written policy and what I am told by a customer service representative I generally believe eBay's written policy.

However, I can see other UK-established sellers with GSP enabled who have paintings for sale that can be bought in the US and elsewhere via eBay.com. Are you definitely opted-in to GSP on this page?

I am enrolled into GSP on that page, yes. Fine art isn’t even really defined anywhere, and as you say, other sellers seem to be able to use GSP regardless. Don’t understand how it is so difficult to just get this displayed as such on my listings. Perhaps the continued en*bleep*ification of the online world has now reached eBay.

It generally means something that only exists for aesthetic purposes such as a painting or a sculpture.

I have a similar problem with vintage tools sold to China via GSP,eBay allow the sale then Pitney Bowes (GSP) say it is undeliverable, and no reason is given, buyer gets refunded (I get to keep my sale money) items are not retuned,I fill out country of origin.its just bizzare that they are so inconsistent
