Iain my dear chappie wot are u going on about? Make mine a large G'nT.

Good Morning to all the "newbies" ... its really nice to have you onboard .... help yourselves to a drink ... the tab is on Captain ... who seems to have disappeared of late.

Nelson, I will indeed broach the subject of Naval themed Karaoke evening ... it will certainly make for interesting reading ... and watching !!!

My brother is a "real" Captain Nelson, although not Navy, and is currently to be found swanning around the South of France in a beautiful new build (£10m) of an old wooden sailing vessel !!!

Anyway, here's a fine Navy Rum for ya Nelson - chat soon - take care one and all, and once again sorry for not being around !

*peeps in*

No one about eh ? Oh well, will chat to you all soon - Cal xx

Hello Cal, Thank you for the rum. They do a really nice one in here. Could be vintage issue. Great news that fine wooden vessels still abound on the sea off France. The traffic in Traffalgar is just awful. But will be back later with some old crew for a bar meal. Hornblowers treat. Care to join us? Nels.

Nelson I'd be delighted to join you and Hornblower, and I hope Traffalgar's traffic gets better or else he won't be joining us either !!!

Take care - Cal xx

Hello Cal, a grand evening Friday. Hornblower came over a bit funny after the Seafood Extravaganza, bar food special. He's sure it was the crab claws. And not the extra strong lager he drinks. It's more healthy having had most of the sugar brewed out of it. Very quiet in here Sunday. That bloke Bligh has a bit of a strange crew. Are they the quiz team?

Who knows Nelson .... but then Bligh is very strange anyway !!!

What have you been up to today ?

I've been home to see my home for a few hours and have left my son there for a few days to be spoilt by granny !

Chat soon - Cal xx

Hello again Call, Today we have been, rock pooling, with some of our grandchildren. Mrs H and I have seventeen grandchildren between us. We have viewed- hermit crabs, star fish, shrimps and a dead spider crab. Ah- coastal ways and my feet are worn out. Nels.

17 grandchildren ? good grief !!!! It must cost you a fortune at Christmas !!! Its bad enough with just one eight year old !!!

Up until I moved last September, I used to live on the coast myself, in fact, I lived on a peninsula and was never further than a 10 minute walk from the beach. I have now moved to an Industrial town, and miss the coast dreadfully.

I'm sure the grandkids had a briliant day with you and Mrs H.... and will have treasured memories of their special day.

Where I used to live we had colonies of seals living at the far end of the river/sea ... thankfully, they have stayed, and are now breeding !
