Have a query on behalf of friend just starting selling books. Afraid I'm not much use on this one:
She has A Pocket Book of Butterflies and Moths by Webb. The dustjacket is illustrated with insects but -and here's the query - the inside of the dustjacket is printed with Robin Hood!
Any ideas. Would it diminish or increase its worth?
Thanks very much.

The only Robin Hood book published by A&C Black I can find is "The Story of Robin Hood and his Merrie Men" by John Finnemore, illustrated by Stoddart, 1925. So I am presuming that they had some left over, and they printed some on the other side of the paper.
As you no doubt know, this book was in print over a long period, and is a very common title, so has no great rarity value.

Just in case Manor House is out watching fireworks, this is one I can answer for you: if you put on a BIN with an auction price, the first bid negates the BIN.

We are brain-washed into thinking that we must send cards and flowers on every occasion known to man. WHY?
I don't want flowers that wilt in the central heating or cards that have been bought willy-nilly. What I really cherish are those hand-written notes of thanks or appreciation. I know that someone has taken the time to sit, lift pen and paper and say 'thankyou'. Now, that really does make my day. Back to the books.

Hallowe'en is the Eve of All Hallows, or All Saints - as you all know. Did you not do apple-bobbing, Lordship? We did; with the carpet covered with towels.
Who hi-jacked this thread? X-(
