I just raided a friend's charity shop pile ( wicked, I know) - he's an author, and picks up freebies from his publisher when he visits - and found "Widow Basquiat" by jennifer Clement, pub, Payback press ( Canongate), paperback ISBN 1 84195 165 x - the yellowish cover with torn-out photos.

Looking toi list this on Amazing, I find 2nd hand from £40, even honest Abe (Lincoln) has some surprising prices quoted. Any clues?

Hi. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to use the isbn of a book to get the details on ebay as there is on other sites. Would save me a lot of time!!!

The facility to do that is only available on ebay.com, its not available on the ebay.co.uk site. You could put the details into the .com site and then cut and paste to the .co.uk site if you wanted.

If you do that, be sure to check that the information provided actually matches the book you have--you can't assume that it will be right.

Hi all,
Can anybody help me find a price guide for 'Sea thrift' by Dollie Radford, illustrated by Gertrude Bradley, please?

I can only find modern editions, which my one is definitely not. It was first published in 1904.

Hi, Hatina, I had the same problem. I tried Addall and Bookfinder but only get 2004 and 2008 editions.

Hello, Speed: if you look at the thread, "Links for help in Indentifying or Pricing Books", it may help.

You could also start a thread of your own. It might help if you indicate where capital letters are used in the title.

WHY DO EBAY INSIT IN RESTRICTING SELLERS TO CHARGE A MAXIMUM OF £2.75 POSTAGE FOR ALL BOOKS!! THIS IS SCANDALOUS!
I HAVE JUST PUT A BOOK UP FOR SALE WHICH GENUINLY WOULD COST ME OVER £8 IN POSTAGE DUE TO ITS SIZE AND WEIGHT AND, AFTER CONFIRMING THE CHARGE ON EBAYS OWN POSTAGE CHECKER!!!!? I HAD TO PHONE THE HELP LINE AND SPEND 10 MINUTES EXPLAINING MY PROBLEM ONLY TO BE TOLD TO PUT SET IT AS BULK WHICH, THEN TOOK ME 15 MINUTES TO FIND AND WILL NOW HAVE TO DEAL WITH POSTAGE IN MY SALES PITCH!
ITS A JOKE!
I AM RAPIDLY GOING OFF EBAY AND THEIR STUPID RESTRICTIONS AND LIMITATIONS - THERE IS NO FUN IN BEING A SELLER ANYMORE!
