Could any of you well educated people (ok enough of the flannel) help me please.?
I have lots and lots of copies of War Illustrated. They have been bound in four red leatherette type books. Not sure how many volumes in each binding but a lot.
Shall I put them on ebay? How much should I start them at or would it be better to sell them somewhere else.
Thanks for any help.

Personally I would list yours individually (as they are not a complete set and are more likely to be purchased by someone wanting a volume to complete their set) with an optimistic starting price of between £4.99 and £9.99 depending on condition and as there aren't many buyers I'd list them as Buy It Now items.
But I'd be perfectly happy to accept that I will lose my 40p listing fees and that none will sell. I'd certainly list under antiquarian and collectable to get the US visibility.
Ebay is as good a place as any to sell them, but it would be worth having a look on Amazon to see if they are listed there then you could list for free and wait for a sale. You might have to wait a long while but if your happy to leave them on a shelf until someone buys them you may get a higher price on Amazon.

Thankyou very much for that comprehensive answer.
I think I will try to sell them on here.
Thanks again.

I have BB Summer Road to Wales first edition which I am going to list under Antiquarian but am not sure what subject to put it in as there has not been one up for sale recently and most of the BB books currently for sale/sold are childrens or fishing. It is about a journey through Wales - anybody know??
Thank you.

What I do know is it is called The Day After Tomorrow. I have bought 3 books with this title so far, each one a different subject, and none of them mine! The one I need is about a normal guy who comes home to find 'strange men' searching his home, he visits his wife at her work in a university library but finds her workmate dead, presumably mistaken for his wife, he then finds his wife and they are followed by car, escaping by hiding in someones garage on the pretext of buying a boat.
That all! does it ring any bells? I'd be so grateful if anyone knows it. Thanks mary666

My Cabbage.
I had a little cabbage
it flowered in the spring
and when he showed his dark green head
the birds began to sing!
One day a hungry caterpillar
began to eat his leaves
and so I made my cabbage
a house up in the trees!
Then one cold day with snow around
my cabbage was no more
He fell and broke his vitals
and split right up the core!
Oh how I loved that cabbage
I'm so sorry that he's dead
but life goes on and now I've got,
a cauliflower instead!!

If you look on bookfinder.com there are signed first editions on offer for between approx £15 and £30 and there is actually one on offer on Ebay for £15. The first edition was published by Little Brown in 1997, however, I'm pretty sure, Little Brown use a number line to indicate which edition it is so it doesn't sound like you've got a first. Yours could be a book club edition who's the publisher?
Personally if it's not a first I would start at £4.99 depending on condition and see what happens. I'd probably start a first at £9.99.
