I agree. AI is disastrous for ebay. I can't bear to read those ridiculous descriptions. Insulting to people's intelligence. As a 25 year subscriber I'll be 'bidding' ebay farewell. End of an era

potential buyers already know dressed up in a moronic sickly sweet coating.
I'll repeat that it may have a place for brand new items but it never
should be used for used items as it gives no information about the actual
item on sale potentially misleading buyers. Sadly the reality is that there
are no other platforms that give the volume of potential buyers or sellers
a shop window. There are plenty of sites doing similar but simply no real
competition for eBay although the Chinese direct selling sites must be
doing them harm. It is a very sad judgement upon eBay's customers that they
think of us as so unintelligent as to need this crude tool. I think that
the world must come to terms with various AI tools to assist us in whatever
we do but in a far more intelligent form than this one. Finally it's my
opinion that eBay has been taken over by 20 somethings bright sparks trying
to make their names in global marketing. Rant over but of course I'm 76 so
know nothing!!
