I've been a skilled seller elsewhere for 20 years(drop-shipping owner). I usually send out my goods abroad.

Tbh, RM's been very reliable if it's internatonal tracked service. Throughout these years, I only had one bad experience which my parcel was dampened for some reason. I also had a deep look into prohibited items long ago as internation sevice is trickier.

However. the domestic service can be very unpredictable. I sold a watch which the RRP was £1000 to a customer. It looked like either the customer broke it, or it was damaged during transit. I believe it's the former as the buyer claimed the problem 10 days after receiving it. Anyways, RM refused the claim as they said the item needed to be packed with air cushions etc. I sent out it watch using its original watch box, which it's very soild and with padded materials inside. Also, it's packed in a soild cardboard box. So why should I need to put 'cushions' in between? Luckily eBay reimbursed the refund to the buyer from their pocket. You see, it shows how tricky the T&C can be.

it says Starting from 7 April, Simple Delivery will apply to your existing live listings ? as well  so the new postage will be more than the £2 /£3 existing items for sale + a big hit if doing low postage of other low cost items ,how the hell is that going to work .also they say if the Simple Delivery label is wrong (lower than it should be ) ebay will get RM & EVERI to cover the cost ,  see pigs flying, postage was working well and now 20 years on ebay and its gone #, 

 just looked and it is £2.74 for a letter ?

? on the over page its £2.70 and also says Simple Delivery will automatically apply to all new eligible listings. Your existing listings will not be affected. so what is right ? now on hold for 47min with customer services , all block up with happy sellers

Yep, totally. I am selling my model car collection and only sell special delivery. They're high value delicate items I pack well and RM special delivery has worked well over the years.  No complaints.

I don't trust it at all and if I didn't have the last few left to sell  I would be out of here ASAP. Ebay is sucking the life out of its own auction site. It seems .

And they hate private sellers.

I tried to do a relist and it's there so i think it applies to all new listings from today. CS lying through their teeth for months. Invoicing gone, can't refund any more, controlled postage. All planned for over a year. I hope they live happily in the grave they have dug

Should we find that you have under declared the size or weight of your item and additional delivery costs are due to eBay, the additional delivery costs (including any applicable administration or other fees) will be deducted from your account and paid to eBay."

I'm aware of the T&C from Royal Mail as I'd read these long ago.

My question is according to the 'what's eligle?' part, it seems it's eBay to  make the decision, and yet eBay also informed me that the compenation depends on the courier. 

Simple delivery won’t be applied to items priced over 750£

so wack a high  price on, then special delivery pops up, then when you change your item price to the real one

special delivery remains, along with ability to amend size,weight,price of postage 

in theory (hoping)  this should still work when the definitive changeover happens

So true. Even when in the past I have sent items by evri which I am very entitled to send they have argued the toss so much. In the end I told them to get stuffed, contacted the CEO office and got ,h money back, had to do that around 3 times for different items but it worked, solved within a couple of days of me contacting the CEO office. They are cowboys beyond belief, they care not 1 iota for customers, treat their items with such disregard and disrespect

Nooooo really, what eBay lying, surely not! My email this morning from them stated 15 April, well I knew that was an untruth!
