Great Ormond Street Hospital, My son goes there and the hospital is in great need of cash as the facilities are very old and run down

My youngest was born 9 weeks premature. I dread to think what might have happened to her if it hadn't been for our SCUB unit. A lot of these units are only possible because of donations (sick isnt it)I give as often as I can to them. (god ive filled up now lol always happens around this time)

I agree it should be split between a couple of worthy charities.

I think they should be auctioned off and the proceeds divided between a few Childrens Charities.So lots can benefit from it.

i think also childrens charity, but also dont forget all the animals that are going to be abandoned this christmas,the rspca for one do not get any government funding whatsoever,or even the samaritains who are working hard this time of year. Give the charities the items and im sure they will raise more than enough by raffling them.

Personally I think that you should represent as many charities as you can, such as pet welfare, child welfare, adult welfare, that way, everyone benefits, like

childline, rspca, centrepoint, comic relief and those sort of charities.

womens aid , child line , help the aged , there are so many worthwhile causes. perhaps the items could be auctioned and the winning bidder decide (from a short list ) which Charity they would like the money to go to.

What about Tommy's campaign, for research into miscarriage, and stillbirth and prematuure birth, or a children's hospice, as this is benefitting both children and parents. Or maybe a charity that is not quite as recognisable as some of the more well known charities, I don't know wouldn't it nice to be able to give to lots of charities.

mrs f_l is spot on!! This time of year belongs to the kiddies so can I suggest Great Ormond Street for the suitable items, with the adult oriented items being raffled on eBay. i.e. it will cost say a quid an entry for each item, you can enter as often as you like.

This way you could make more than the products are worth and I'm sure all us UK eBayers would love to support any charity of your choice. It could be widely advertised by yourselves; good PR for eBay and us ebayers get the chance to win and give at the same time, no losers.

Why not donate tomorrows prizes to a childrens charity aswell. Least our kids will be looked after tomorrow. Plus it will save the arguments when people log on tomorrow right after lunch 🙂

Smaller animal rescues are always over stretched at best of times, christmas even more so. I think they should benefit from unwon prizes. Poplar farm kennels, Whitelodge longdogs, HW animal rescue, second chance kennels, lizzies barn, many tears rescue.... just a few of the thousands off the top of my head that work tirelessly to save our four legged friends!!
