I discovered whilst treasure hunting that my hubby ought to be an eBay Pinkie.

When looking for the mini, he had the following train of thought:

Cracker, parrot, Long John Silver, thermals.

(Logical) Pinkie thinking or what?

I think eBay should post the following on the front page: "Warning! This treasure hunt may cause a lack of concentration. If affected do not drive or operate heavy machinery"

Yesterday I was concentrating so hard on the clues that I almost missed my junction on the way home.

I was relieved to discover that someone else had won the Mini while I was driving back though. At least it meant the obsession loosened it's grip till this morning and I could actually get away from a computer long enough to have a pee!

I wouldn't have got yesterdays anyway. I was convinced it was mirror...

thought i had got it today.very confident.mince pie-orange peel-bells-song oranges and lemons says the bells of st clements-st clement danes church-look in the doggy section.nope not a sausage in there.failed again.still perhaps i should do the clues instead.dont you think? P.S I THINK I AM NOW INSANE !!!!

Driving home from uni yesterday I actually did miss my junction on the motorway! I was away with the fairies thinking about treasure and suddenly thought 'where am i?' All that thinking didn't help me though! I had to drive an extra 20 miles to get home.

I have discovered the hunt doesn't only effect the hunters, besides the neglect of all things I would normally do during the day! You have my husband hooked too, let me explain...

Every morning his good self leaves for work in the wee small hours, and he returns past teatime, so we phone twice a day, once in the morning, conversation (past) as follows...

"Morning Honie, how is it going today, are the kids being good?" (now you understand the id ;))

"Morning,, all good hon,, how was the drive?" (admittedly some mornings are a little different, more along the lines of "how could you leave me here every day with these gremlins,, I'm running away" kids,, you have to love them,, right?? but I digress)

However,, the last few days sounded more like this..

"morning Honie,, what is the prize??"

"I'm busy searching,, for gawds sake don't phone again,, don't forget to ask everyone you see what they think of when you say 'cracker',, bye!"

Nice and romantic,, ummm!!

And of course the evening,, "I'm on my way home now" call has turned into "why didn't you win it?? I could do so much better than you!" (yeah right sugar,, wanna try?? ;))

So my EBay story involves romance, desperation, and a much reduced phone bill! You know what, I'm loving every minute... Thank you EBay, Good luck to all the hunters, and happy Christmas everyone!!

I keep thinking that I'll leave the seat, then the "just one more search" gene kicks in. What I would like to see PLEAAAASSSSE is one place that says when an item has been won, and what the clues were so that I can kick myself and realise that searching for "Milk and Alcohol" by Dr Feelgood was not a good idea when the answer was "Tears For Fears" (you can see what liquid springs to my mind first though). I hate to think that I'm wasting even more time searching for non-existent prizes (and just think, that's time that I'm not looking for real things to buy either - searching for a kiddy trampoline has been shelved for the duration of the comp - she'll have to wait till her birthday!)

Well i missed the Holly one by 12 seconds!!!

I refreshed the page, there is was, heart beating, giggling with excitement, only to find I'd been beaten by 12 bloomin seconds!

And I guarantee that i needed to win more that the winner LOL.

Only problem now is i keep missing the clues - they arent coming up on my screen

i dont do lateral thinking or didnt used too untill this started(an i,m still not sure what it is hehehe) i,ve had a headache for days ha ha trying to slve the clues but they got me stumped todays is driving me nuts lol nuts now theres an idea !!!!!! what a great way to get us looking through the whole of ebay rofl

So, the hunt's been on for the past few days? How come I've only just received the email?
Typical ebay style - like when I'm notified of a watched item ending soon about 3 days after it has ended.
And I've been around the site over the last few days but there's no mention of the hunt on the front page (not the one I can see).
I've looked for today's clue & all I can see is a blank page with a treasure hunt heading...

Hi...Please can someone help...I'm a Treasure Hunt Virgin, if ever there was one...Now the new hint aboutMince-less pies is out...does that mean the one about Secret Ingredient Drinks doesn't count anymore...or do they all go together...and what about Pie = Single Eye = Cyclops....though I can think of 2 other things that have got a single eye...one of them is a needle and the one isn't...I'll get me coat !!!

Well i saw the hint 'Now forget Mince' so i typed in Circle as i know PIE is used to find the area of a circle, but never thought of typing the number it represents.
