spent yet another 2 hours on the computer instead of doing the housework and ou Christmas window display!

Richard I hope you're pleased with yourself - I have a very disappointed 7 year old who is waiting for the winter snow scene and Chrimbo tree and all his mum can do is frantically search eBay for things 😞

my tale is of woe!!!

i am a very lateral thinker (well i am a woman!)but i couldn't get my head round partridge for love nor diamonds 😉

who is alan partridge???? and what has mittens got to do with it???

i live in scotland a good few miles from where the buried treasure was found so no wonder i never got it!!

so get a scottish theme going please

for the holly one i emailed my pal who is a priest and asked him the latin for holly, he gave me the right answer (knew he was good for something! lol

I'm a Scot too #3 but I wouldn't have said being English was an advantage with today's clue (as plenty of English peeps will tell you aye it was a case of the blind leading the mentally insane whatever the nationality) I know Alan Partridge but thought nah it's too obvious.

A purely Scottish theme actually wouldn't be fair on everyone especially the Scots that still couldn't get it right, what a slagging that would be!!

As regards to the treasure hunt itself??? I'm loving every minute of it, it's great fun and I'm determined to enjoy it for as long as it lasts. To those that have won good on you, to those of us who live in hope??? There's always tomorrow.... 😄

Well I am ignoring my son and being a bad parent for the first time and its all down to EBAY hahahaha..... all im doing is trying to gain a bit of cash so he can have a good life *getting out the violins* hahaha i love it though even if i am too thick to get it.... just bought a new car with a 5k loan so now i am looking to win a car that i actually OWN!!!!!!!!

i've had up to 15 tabs open in 1 mozilla window, started searching and refreshing at 9! when i needed to leave the pc, i tried to make sure it wasn't at a full hour or half past an hour!

i've got a big pile of clothes to be washed, dried and ironed!

i've only had a shower at half 5 in the afternoon, 15 minutes before hubby came home from work!

somehow i'm dreading tomorrow - i've got to go out for at least 3 hours !!! don't know how to do that without texting hubby to search for the winning auction.

i've got a constant headache, thinking about keeping a marmalade jar next to the desk (don't ask for what .... ) and am tempted to tell hubby to bring his little portable fridge back home so that i don't have to run downstairs when i need a drink or something to eat.

and today i was very very close to throw the pc out of the window to get a normal life again!

spent 7 hours looking at work, ignored all aspects of work, all i think about is hunting for treasure, all i talk about is 'can you think of anything similar to partridge' everytime i tried to stop i was pulled to the keyboard by a magic force
head is dying of headache cant think of anything but birds and jesus and trees and fruit and............am here again prep for tomorrow
gotta go out with friend tomorrow(trying to keep life) for quite some time, am supposed to hoover etc
boyfriend wants to take pc to work so i dont sit here all day and night
and this goes on till after xmas??
i think im gonna go mad

Love it though, i thought i was close with the nice plums thing but didn't have a clue where to go from there. Never even heard of that place.

Appears that the best chance i had of winning was the 1st two days as more and more people are finding out about it now.

Im in the lucky position of having my own shop , so can legitimatly sit on my fat arse all day with no-one to moan at me other than myself.

To make it even better I wasn't intending on listing this week anyway , so I hav'nt even got my own mind nagging at me "Dai , you really should be doing something constructive instead of wasting time on here"

I've thourally enjoyed the last 3 days , so just for once ..."well done Ebay ..nice one"

and thousands more words.
picked my children up at 315pm then straight back here to see if it had been found.Then got a serious ear bashing from my hubby for sitting on my backside on here all day and not doing sod all else.

I actualy stayed up most of the night and found the winning page for the diamond necklace but was afraid to bid such a high amount. It would of made the wife so happy. I done the same tonight and may be i have scored again. One can only hope!! we will see tomorrow. I hope in a way i have not won. Only so I can carry on playing this wonderful promotion from eBay
