Wow. Woman Very Happy

Lowestoft

Man Happy The Kamchatka peninsula on the eastern end of Russia has always fascinated me. It was one of the most secret places in the world. It was a Soviet military zone and even Soviet citizens weren't allowed to visit. Airliners were not allowed to fly over the area - you may recall the Korean jet (flight 007) that was shot down near Sakhalin in 1983 killing all 269 people on board when it strayed off course whilst flying from Alaska to Seoul. The secrecy ended for Soviet citizens in 1989 and since 1990 foreigners have been allowed there. In some places it is spectacularly beautiful. And if you're wondering, no, I haven't been there Man Sad

Toft - I have been to Toft, to catch a ferry to Unst Man Happy

Interesting to read about. Such a dreadful shame about all those people that were killed though.
