Grace Spitfire (Purchased in 1979 by Nick Grace, a Design Engineer. Upon his death in 1988 as a result of a car crash ownership of the plane passed to his widow Carolyn, who not only wanted to keep the plane in the family but also wanted to keep it flying, and so took on the enormous task of learning how to fly a Spitfire specifically for the purpose. She made her first solo flight in her late husband's Spitfire in 1990 and has continued to fly it ever since.)
