No, it was Fly, as in Bluefly and Flypaper. The missing word in the middle has to be the second half of the first word and the first half of the second word, with no spaces separating the linkword in either of the clues - ie: Bluefly and Flypaper. In both examples given here the linkword is linked to the clues without a space separating the clues and the answer. Although Water could work for Blue - ie: Bluewater (shopping centre) Water and Paper are two separate words, not one word joined by the clue and the answer.
