Is it Red?  ie:  Redfoot - a fatal disease affecting newborn lambs in which the red laminae below the horny layers of the feet become exposed due to separation of the horny layers, and Redback - an extremely venomous spider native to Australia with a red stripe down the back of its body.  However, the linkword is supposed to go in the centre, as it makes up the second half of the first word and the first half of the second word, thus linking the two clues and giving the game its name of "Linkword".

And yes Taylor-Books, the answer to my previous post was Strip.  Smiley Happy

Was it Cloth?  I can't think of any words that link both words without having to place a space between either of the two clues in order to find the answer, and this was all I could think of...

Red**** and ****rice

Is it cap?

sauce**** and  life****

Yes, Taylor-Books, it was Cap.

Is the missing word Boat - ie:  Sauceboat and Lifeboat?

One thing I've noticed with this thread is that people often seem to miss the point of the game.  The object of the game is to find a word that fits in the centre - ie:  where the word "and" or the "&" symbol is located - thus providing the link between the first word and the second word.  The missing word is supposed to be the end of the first word and the start of the second word, thus linking the two words.  That's why the game is called Linkword!  Smiley Frustrated

Anyway, back to the thread:
