Simon - I'm not in Yorkshire! I'm a couple of miles from Oxford. For many years I was the only PurplePenny (or variation on that ID) in cyberspace but there are quite a few of us now (also an american coin, a racehorce and a beanie bear!)

Having had first hand experience of the Tsunami disaster, it would be really touching to auction off the unclaimed prizes and donate the money to the disaster funds appeal. My parents were in Phuket, Thailand during their backpacking trip around the world when the disaster hit. We have been through hell and back because of this, but have been lucky as we found out they were ok. Many others have not been as lucky.
It's wierd but to think that before Christmas when I was being gripped by the treasure hunt, and on Boxing day, my (and millions of others) world would be turned upside down. This disaster is definately a worthy charity - please help!

I also think the unclaimed prizes should go to the Tsunami Disaster fund, I lost my dear brother abroad last year, and had to pay myself to get his ashes back here to the UK (thousands) to think while we were all having a nice time, even on here others were risking their lives trying to save others. This tragedy is collosial hitting many different nations, including our own.
We all wish for peace within the world and now we all have the chance to show our love care and support. Auction them on eBay I am sure they will do very very well

Allow the prizes to be auctioned off to buy a desalinator for the Friends of Maldives who suffered with the Tsunami, who are trying to raise the funds for it.

#325 If you reread my post you will see that I wasn't using the site that way, that's why I didn't answer the person who wanted to know which charities. I was merely stating my reason for wanting to know in advance which charity might be benefiting. Others have stated a preference for supporting a UK charity, still more will have other criteria for deciding whether or not to support a particular charity. But in order to make such a decision it is necessary to know in advance which charity is being funded.
