Total waste of time !!! prizes gone looked for ages, do you think this is acceptable ???? I dont

SPENT 8 HOURS ON EBAY TODAY LOOKING AND 5 HOURS OF THAT WERE A WASTE OF TIME AS THE PRIZE WAS GONE. THANKS EBAY AND A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL

How about wasted my time, got in deep do-do with the missus, barely spoke to the dog, sat on the cat, then finally threw a gnome through the window; only because I didn't have any bloody elves to throw.

Thank you for wasting a Thursday night - bill for my time is in the post.

p.s. headlines will give you a good story tomorrow, or was that the idea?!

Have decided that treasure hunt is a farce. Wasted hours looking for winning listing twice to find its not there. Not a happy bunny.

nice 1 ebay
thanx
and a happy new year 2 u 2

UTTER RUBBISHX-(

Oh that's easy ..

The treasure hunting is great idea and wastes no end of time, upsets the kids, the wife and the dog due to being stuck to the computer for 2 1/2 hours searching for a prize won 5 1/2 previously but your wimpy arsed elves were too scared to admit they'd cocked up twice in one day and left us "hunters" hunting for a non-existent prize for 2 1/2 hours..

Stick that on your advertising page if you want ..

No ???? ... Didn't think you would.!

TOTAL WASTE OF TIME

MY STORY

I have endured hours & hours of treasure hunting since this started, my husbands filing for divorce & my kids are publishing a christmas cookery book for other siblings (published in time for next years hunt)& amid all this frustration

Guess What?
Have I Won?

THE COMPUTER SAYS NO

I've had a blast, although its been frustrating at times for the most part its been fun.

The most annoying thing though is FL always seemed to know the answers, but never when I was actually hunting, or if he did he told me too late lol.

I've loved the way this has messed up peoples minds, TSP especially (ref her test post hehe) but most of all how so many of you think that me and FL are Pinks in disguise lol

But especially how everyone has come together and shared their ideas, most of which have been the correct answers.

And my last point, how the elves have managed not to lose their cool with the amount of posts that have been posted screaming at them. Don't think we would have stayed so calm lol

here i have sat for days, no weeks at a time (big bum impression left in my chair) i have actually seen at least 19 winning pages but never got there quick enough, but still i sat here, i dont think i went to bed before 8 am for about 10 days, and then i only went when my partner could take over.
but disater struck me on boxing day, due to the snow and ice my bt exchange went down, this is the first time i've been on since then its now new years eve, so you can imagine i was gutted.
we actually complained to bt, not because we had no phone but because we couldn't do the ebay treasure hunt.
now thats addiction for you, it was worse than giving up smoking.
lol
but im back now so heres hoping.

ps...when people ask if i had a good xmas i can say No
because i was too depressed with missing the hunt.

Dear Jim,
Please can you fix it for me to get a clue right.
I don't need to win a prize, but a glimpse of the winning screen ( even at number 35) would make me a very happy girl. Then I could post an OOOHHH just missed it like Hel8itch.
Thanks

I did not participate in this waste of time, As the prizes would have probably been won by a friend of a worker in ebay, come on..... who in the right mind would NOT tell there family, friends, etc... the answer for a share??? (£10000 CAR, NECKLACE ETC...) HMMMMM... WAKE UP EBAYERS, THE SITE IS ONLY GOOD FOR BUYING AND SELLING WITH THE RIGHT PEOPLE, IF EBAY PUT AS MUCH EFFORT IN TO GETTING RID OF THE RIP-OFFS, AND SCAM ARTISTS AS MUCH AS THEY HAVE WITH THIS 'CLUELESS' "TREASURE HUNT" THEN EBAY WOULD NOT BE ALL OVER THE PAPERS AND IN THE NEWS EVERY TWO MINUTES! hey they still don't tell you the prize is gone! they keep getting those hits on the website, and feed you full of bull pooh pooh... AND I HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAY THIS AS I AM A POWERSELLER WITH A 99%+ FEEDBACK RATING OF 570 AND ALSO A TRADING ASSISTANT FOR THE LEICESTER AREA!... DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, GO AND CLEAR THE SHED OUT INSTEAD AND SLING THE GOODS ON.... (as long as you get the right buyer!!!) GO ON EBAYER PROVE ME WRONG.......
YOURS WITH LAUGHTER AT THE TREASURE?????? HUNTERS..... CATFEET2.... HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL.....

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH THATS NASTY!

I have this feeling that someone wrote a story about you..... had the phrase "Bah humbug" in it.... now what was that called......................

well i've had fun - got close - got CROSS - but made loads of friends. great fun

232 if you haven't bothered to enter this comp what qualifies you to comment on who has or hasn't won the prizes?

I know a couple of people personally who have won, and quite a few just from these message boards.

The only thing that EBay has done wrong throughout this who comp is messed up a few of the listings, apart from that they have been brilliant.

How many people would take the time to update us etc when they are on holiday aswell. The pinks/elves didn't have to keep us updated and join in with the fun after all.

Lighten up and if you don't like it do as you've done so far. Don't participate at all.

232, I read your post and you have the right to your own opinion, however i would like to add that i won a trip to Barcelona,I have no connections with E-Bay at all apart from the fact i use it to shop from, This treasure hunt has been great fun,We have all shared the ups and downs, the tantrums and the laughs that have been involved along the way.

I think E-Bay have bent over backwards to accomodate and help the treasure hunt be run as fairly as it could possibly be,and for that they have my utmost respect.

As for it being some sort of con I cannot agree there, even my children have been helping me to sort out answers and clues, My Son who is 13 has severe learning difficulties, He found the answer to the clue that i won on, and if i could package up and sell his emotions when i won on it i could make a million times more profit than you cleaning your shed out.

Thankyou Ebay, apart from the prizes on offer you have achieved bringing people together from all areas and walks of life, and the seasonal spirit and willing to share has been abundant throughout.

Jay

Back in this thread again to wish everyone working so hard on this hunt a Happy New Year!

Sadly, I had to be gone over the holidays; had a house full of people and the guys monopolised the puters playing counter strike so there was no way I could hunt (of course also had to be social, get drinks and stuff, be a good hostess...) but I missed the hunt for sure!

I do owe Ebay a lot. I may not have won anything but as said in my earlier post, this hunt helped me so much with my depression and such and I have had such a good laugh, better than I had in ages. That is the best prize, is it not?
