Sometime on this or another thread somebody posted about lenses that fit Nikon digital slrs and are as good but cheaper. We bought son a camera last year and were thinking of an extra lens for this year.
Can somebody point me in the right direction. My first camera was an old box one and the second a Kodak brownie. Never moved on, just let OH take the photos now.

Of the independant camera lens makers Tamron and Sigma are pretty good, but nikkor lenses specifically designed for their own camera`s will always be better.

I have ONLY taken 1500 photos this time and will hopefully start them tomorrow but I have been struggling with the jet lag since I arrived back yesterday. Had a brilliant time and I will start uploading photos as soon as I can :)
