Well said Mary, I love looking at ordinary photos just as much and sometimes more than professional stuff. I think with the modern era of digital photography it has opened up a whole new world for photographers and has attracted more people to photography too. As othershave said Jay please carry on sharing because at the end of the day thats what this thread is all about

I prefer those ones too TBH but just wanted to try out something different, the airport ones didn't work out as the viewing area I wanted to use isn't open at night.

Stu - what exposure did you use? I am fascinated by the photos as I try to experiment as well but am hopeless with long exposures. I presume you used a tripod or monopod. Thanks for sharing as although I don't tend to be that adventurous I really appreciate the skill of those who do!

Mary I used a 4 second exposure with a tripod. I also need to get a remote for it to get rid of shake. I had to use the timer function to get rid of shake but then lost control of exactly when I wanted to press the trigger!
I am going to try a longer exposure next time to heopefully improve the results
