Don't go getting blown off the mountain then, cke. The rain is the least of the problems this weekend - there's very strong winds forecast as well.

Meh, gentle breezes they were, nothing I haven't dealt with driving in Wales before 😉

What is abysmal about scorching weather Wizi?
It is currently 26.7°C in my study and I'm quite comfortable. The windows are closed, by the way...

im barely able to unction in this heat - over about 23 & I really need to be in an air conditioned atmospher
Thank goodness my car has air-con, set at 16 degs, rising to 18 if the weather is cold

I just like it warm, Wizi. It has been warmer than that up here at times...
As autumn turns into winter each year, funnily enough it's usually Yola who breaks first and asks me to put the heating on. This typically happens once the temperature in the house has dipped below about 18°C...
Psstt.... you can edit your posts to get rid of typos... it's under "options" in the top right hand corner...

Yeah, but that option lasts for only about a minute, then it's gone 😞

Only a minute? I've used it up to about 5 minutes after posting when I spotted a typo. Maybe they've changed it. Again.

Busy couple of days, I had to produce an advert, which will be printed in tomorrow's The Bolton News Homestyle Feature! I spent pretty much the whole of Wednesday doing the thing and sent it off at the end of the day, though in the morning of the Thursday, the boss decided that he wanted to add a couple of special offers to the advert, which I had to hurriedly get done before the morning was out and send it to the Bolton New publisher... we received the proof this morning, so I know they're going to be printing the right one!

At least you still have a functioning local rag; the owners of our one have just issued the entire staff with reduncancy notices thinking they can produce it centrally from their HQ. They've also cancelled the photo agency contracts.

Ouchies, that's not good! I know we have to tighten our belts a bit, but that is rather extreme!

It is provoking a certain level of.... interest. Unfortunately of course they're not allowed to actually print that news in their own newspaper and instead have to resort to using social media to spread the word!
It's not exactly belt tightening either; the owning company is extremely profitable - particularly given the sector.

I see, the whole, maximising profits for the few thing!
And speaking of bad news, we've just had an update on our fellow worker, he's lost one lung operation from the pneumonia and the other one is not doing so great either 😞
