i think we should try to make MDCC last at least until christmas and then see what the new year brings.

I love it - but that's easy for me to say, because I'm not spending hours writing listings after spending hours creating beautiful things: also, I don't get to buy every month, because I'm not always about.  

I do appreciate that it's a lot of work for the people who list, though, and that it's not necessarily a reasonable return for the effort you put in, not to mention the buying of the raw materials etc  Perhaps FB or another venue would give a better return for charities? I guess only those at the sharp end of the process can decide that, though.
