MONDAY'S tea thread

Basically the usual Monday tea for us using up the left over roast chicken. Chicken jalfrezi - hot and spicy for me and for son chicken and vegetable pie. Very boring but like to make the most of the leftovers and not chuck them in the bin.

Remember - it takes 17 muscles to smile and 44 muscles to frown - SO KEEP SMILING 🙂

Im having sausages, mash and baked beans. A warming comfort tea tonight.

Can we alternate between Tea & Dinner? We eat at about 8.00 & I can't get my head round 'tea'.

Haven't thought about it yet properly but I might make a cottage pie, it feels like Winter here!

I am having a pot noodle and hubby is having two sausage rolls with some brown sauce and bread and butter!!

We had a cooked brekkie from morrisons this morn so we wont have much tonight.

Rose2008 - thats a dinner I just cannot stand!! I hate mashed potatoes!! Baked beans they are horrible.

I've got a duck crown in the oven for me and hubby will have a cheesy pasta jobby.  He'll have apple and rhubarb crumble and custard for pudding.

Daughter came and picked loads of rhubarb and apples yesterday and hubby went round hers this morning and came back with five big crumbles.   He's happy, he loves his puddings!

Thinking of making American Chicken and Noodles here. I had a roast chicken and made some stock with the carcass. I will make hand made noodles too. 🙂 The way my grandma used to make them. A right stick to your ribs type of meal.

Life is too short so enjoy it while you can!

Chicken (leftovers) and ham salad with new potatoes, with rice pudding and fruit for afters.

Love sausage, beans and mash, hate pot noodles. Would love to try Stampingpat's tea that sounds lovely.

We had cod loin that I breaded and cooked, with potatoes and beans. Lovely.

We had turkey and stuffing with mixed veg and gravy.

CB, I never knew cods had loins 🙂
I'm stuffing marmite on toast

Jacket potato with chicken, sweetcorn and bacon mayo.

No idea where the doctor got it from as it certainly had been no-where near the hospital caterers!

I really enjoyed it.
