Hi Bunny ~ losing the will to live..!

Even on Firefox, Irfanview was blocked from downloading.  Switched off firewall on Norton 360 ~ still no download :_|

The Instructions you gave were simple enough to follow :-x ~

the individual download instructions weren't complicated ~

Nothing..!  Even with Norton 360 switched off the downloads were coming up as a 'threat' and being rejected as unsafe.

It's either completely my fault, and/or the settings on 360 are not 'switched off' (it's the newest version, so I'll probably have to dig deeper into this version's instructions.

Something's *stopping* the whole thing from working ... 😮

Hi Cat, sorry you are having problems... Norton 360 is an Anti virus I wouldn't have if you paid me 😮

I've heard of horror stories with this paid for program!

I prefer the 'free' Microsoft Security essentials...brilliant! 😉

If you ever decide to get rid of Norton 360 though, then you'll need to uninstall it with their uninstall tool...

Entirely up to you though. 😉

I've tried many free Anti Virus programs ie: AVG, Avast etc, but MSE seems to work flawlessly with my system.

Good luck with whatever you decide 😉

Hey there Bunny!

*Yep, Cat, Norton can cause problems. Also is a memory hugger. AVG is good.

Avoid McAffee like the plague.

I am using the one provided by my internet service provider Virgin. I am sure yours has one.

MSE sounds goo too, since Bunny is happy with it.

Hi Dixie, yes MSE is great, no problems.

Had AVG [few niggles] then had Avast for 2 years, but after an update, that played up slightly so went with MSE...so far so good 🙂

When I first had PC [8 years ago] and Virgin Media it came with their Anti-Virus 'PC guard' as I recall. Blerdy hell! It was terrible X-(

It probably is better now though, but I'll stick with what I've got.

Horror stories with McAfee & Norton...free ones are the best 😉

Did you enjoy the closing ceremony then?

Beddy byes for me now.

Speak again soon.

Night night all xx

Sweet Dreams

Loved it! Great atmosphere! Our Hero was there as a music medley and a few cool mega big projections. I'll post some more screen grabs next few days. B-)

Started with Virgin's 2-3 yrs ago, seems fine.

Good to know about MSE, when my mum's  paid runs out next year...the guy who, helped setting up poot, installed it.

My Mum is glad to be rid of ads + got used to Gmail, which I "coloured" for her light blue. TeamViewer works really well as a remote assistance tool.

Next download for her will be Glary Utilities!

More tmrw. Sweet dreams xx

Still trying to get to the bottom of it, I was under the impression all ISPs were the same just the cost changed ??

Can someone tell me what TeamViewer is?

Also Glary Utilities!?

Do I need either or both? or should I ask my great computer bro.

He'll tell me whether I need either of these programmes.

They looked interesting but o I need them and could a brailess idiot like me learn how to se them or will I go mad?

Oh! Im that already;)

Ha !! I think I've finally cracked it !!

*Tim, "Glary Utilities" very useful to have, it "cleans" your PC of unneeded stuff like invalid registry entries, temporary internet files, internet trces + history , and also checks for Spyware - all at the click of a button.

"TeamViewer" is a remote assistance tool, you + your bro  both download it, sign up with permanent password, and he can then access your PC, from his PC, or laptop or wherever, when you have a problem and you can still interfere as well.

Also very useful. Ask your bro about them.

Dunno, good news, your gif works now. It was static and only showing half when I logged in first.

That's why it makes me think it is NOT your PC but has to do with cyberspace in general, ISPs / ebay in particular ...how I don't know.

Lets try this then !!

Dunno try to upload a pic to Imgur, just out of curiosity to see if it displays ok.

You don't need to register just to check 😉

Click on 'Computer' browse for pic then 'start Upload'

You'll see the HTML code on the right 🙂
