A chap I used to work with use to say "You don't go on strike in the (expletive deleted =ED) Winter. You go on strike in the (ED) Summer. Then you've got yer (ED) stuff out of the (ED) garden. You've got yer (ED) taters, yer (ED) lettisiz (lettuces), yer (ED) termarters, yer (ED) bee-erns (beans)......" and so he went on, running through all the stuff he grew himself. Jack was quite a character but he was right.

Any of those bus or metro workers going on strike now are surely doing so at the wrong time of year?
