Well, I'm sure he keeps you entertained and you will do the same for him. I go for short haired breeds, but I do still have my dog clippers in case I fall for a spaniel or something 😂

I  Thought About Cutting His Hair But He Went For Me As Soon As I Got Near Him

Petal

Really? wants the professional look 😁 My mother in law reacted much the same when I offered to cut her hair 😳 After all, I did the men's and boys' and my own. Trust issues 😂

He;s Fast Asleep On Sofa Again,Minced Lamb Tonight

Petal

Nice. One had salmon last night, the other, venison. Minced chicken for both today.  Shadow used to sleep on the couch ...or my bed....but now prefers her dog beds or her cave behind the couch. Rana never tries the couch. Loves the squishy dog bed.

And she makes a liar of me

Nice Pic Lynda, Fudge Was Given A Dog Bed And Blanket Last Week So Takes It In Turn My Chair, Sofa, Floor Or Spare Chair

Went Outside Just Now And Got Blown Back Inside It's A Strong Windy Night

Petal

We had some strong winds lately. It's been like winter with the rain, too. Unfortunately, Shadow won't go out in it unless I go too. She won't pee in the garden...has to go to the grass beyond the back gate

Just read an article in Glasgowlive about dog friendly Girvan...and it's pooches!

Some think pooch comes from the Italian 'puccinella', which was a frequently used nickname for a small dog, or 'putzi' , a common German name for a lap dog, if no one has put it further up

Fudge Wo'nt Even Go Down The Stair's If He Can Hear Rain

I Do'nt Think He Likes The Nighbours, Every Time He Go's Out He Makes A B,Line For Their Washing Area And Does His Stuff

I think I like Fudge, a lot. We had a wet walk again. Solid rain. Can't see the hills properly...it's like they are behind voile curtains. Still, the dogs get wet anyway...they love swimming, even at the golf course. Managed to lose one ball. So much for retrievers 😂

Meanwhile Police  ( 4 Cars)  Have Just Raided The Flats  Up The   Street

No Dogs Were Harmed  During The  Action😄

Petal

Glad to hear it. 👍

we had a police car parked on the street below my house this morning, but they got out of the car smiling so I don't think it was going to be anything serious. They weren't around for long. It's ambulances we see more of. Lots of us aging bods taking strokes and heart attacks 🚑

Pooch is definitely an old word, as someone has pointed out it is of European origin where similar variations of the word were terms of endearment given to pet dogs.

I had a toy in the 1980s called a 'Poochie' dog 😊 They were really popular at one point, and obviously named for the 'Pooch' connection.

I have not heard the term 'Pooch' being used that much in my adult years so it must have made a comeback. It's a way to cuten up a headline I suppose.

I hate the terms 'doggo' and 'puppers', but I am guilty of still referring to my adult dog as 'my pup'. She is tiny and naughty so it fits her better 😅

This One Thinks He's A Police Dog

I'm guessing two things, firstly some people think Pooch is a cute term and secondly; they use it to add variation to a an piece of writing rather than just use dog this and dog that.

Personally I have no time for dogs or most pets for that matter; don't see what fascinates people so much; I'd likely call it a mutt.

Hello Lambsy  Do'nt Expect We Will See You At Crufts This Year

My dog was my family when I had no one else after escaping an abusive relationship. My eldest son, who lives near London,  calls her my therapy dog. Her presence meant I had to go out several times a day and exercise for a start. Especially with lockdown.
