It's sad to hear that he's dead but at least he had a good innings. Not many people live to be 100 years old.

So sad....he was a very loveable character. I always loved his uplifting message...'Tomorrow will be a better day'. Some days it's hard to take that on board, but Thank you Sir Tom for trying to raise us up! ❤️

His prognosis didn't sound good when the news said yesterday that all his family were at his bedside. I think visiting rules in hospitals have been strict and if any visitors only 1 or 2 normally I think.
I'm glad he had a nice bit of sunshine in Barbados in December. He and family flew on the 10th, before lockdown, so quite legal, yet trolls have been **bleep**ing about it apparently.
He achieved a lot in his lifetime, and helped many others especially with his extraordinary fundraising, unlike those many self-important selfie-taking celebrity 'influencers' who jetted off to various Caribbean islands or Dubai after lockdown pretending that their holidays were work when challenged!

Yes I saw the photos of Sir Tom with Cliff Richard and Russ Abbott who apparently spend all their Winters in the Caribbean!
I also heard Tom signed 3 book deals and a film deal while he was there. He did indeed live a very full life, cut short by Covid.
