What a waste? First, loads have trees have been cut down. Second, loads of energy has been expended in transporting the timber. Thirdly lots more energy has been expended in cutting/planking (and planing?) the timber. Fourthly lots more energy has ben expended in transporting the wood to that site. What's holding it all together? Nails & screws? More wasted energy making them etc?
What an absolute waste of time to make that just to set it alight?

They haven't been "educated" yet by the BBC, the Guardian and the academic establishment.
Give it time. They have a lot on their plate, with climate change, Mr. Trump, and other "worthy" lefty causes...
