I put this together, a few years ago

Today is the Glorious 25th of May

Wear The Lilac Day

Terry Pratchett, raised a lot of Money for Alzheimer's/Dementia charities and His Fans have continued to do so.

It was THE EMBUGGERANCE that took our Hero in the End

and Andra Days - Rise Up is a great song

It's a lovely sunny evening which reminded me of the lyrics of the first line:-

It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.

I hadn't heard this for years, it was on local radio yesterday.

A lovely singer:-

It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.

Saw this on a late night Beeb show

Found this HQ good stereo version on Youtube

What a brilliant 1971 Number 1 single,

from what in chart terms, was a new band

I still remember been blown away, hearing it for 1st time

and I've loved 'Rock' violin ever since

A UK number 1, Pop single, with a Violin solo and having it as a lead instrument

Showing my age,

I saw Slade when they were still Skinheads,

in the Electric Gardens in Glasgow 1970

They visited the area very many times touring in those pre-chart Days

Including their 'infamous' visits to the Isle of Arran

Still talked about by Islanders, drink, more drink and loads of illegals

Back then, when on tour, they often spent 10 days on the tiny island

(Even when Topping the Charts they'd still do a small Gig in Brodick every Tour)

Stunning Reggae version  of Adeles, Hello

what a beautiful voice this Young girl has

It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.

Another 'Old' song, I'd not heard, released 7yrs ago

I picked it up from the moving ending to the latest NCIS episode in UK

Might get this played at my Funeral

That should cheer everybody up

The Lyrics are so moving

Highly appropriate today "Was the dark of the moon on the sixth of June....."

It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.

You can't beat some Reggae in the Sunshine

One for CD from Geordie RRWoman LOL

It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.

This Song has a strange History

Julia was born in the US, but brought up in the Netherlands

She won the 'Voice of the Netherlands' tv talent show with this in 2013 (?)

It was Hit there and sold quite a few across Europe, thats Ok

Then a couple of years later, Her rmanagement were inundated

with requests from the Southern Hemisphere for Her to Tour

This remixed version had become a massive Hit . in Aus, NZ, the Pacific rim Countries & Islands

It was even being played in the Carribean

This is the orignal video of the Show, but with the remix vesrion of the Song

There is a another stronger sound version on YouTube, But I like the video

-------------------------------------

also posted it, because I have a question for Our Netherlands expert

I would love to know who the Blonde is in the Video, HARRIOT ?

I really thought I knew Her, but I think that's because She looks really like actor Simon Baker

This "Expert" had to do a bit of searching.

I think her name is Wendy van Dijk. I had never heard of her name, but I have seen her as "Ushi" interviewing that doctor from embarrassing bodies and that was really funny. Can't find the video though.

Wendy van Dijk is a Dutch actress and television presenter. She's best known for her portrayal as Ushi Hirosaki, a hapless Japanese journalist featured in both a series of Dutch television shows and a theatrical film.

She does look a bit like the actor. Smiley LOL

Top that CD:womanlol:.
