How many wonderful words can we all come up with. Smiley Happy

Words that feel good when we say them, type them, hear them.

Some words just sound really good to the (my) ear, like Tranquillity or Delicacy.

Other words just sound funny to me, like Smithereens or Hodgepodge.

And there are many just happy words like Twinkle or Cosy.

Can you add some?

Ah Harry! Twinkle and cosy...you can add nestle to those too. Some words that I like are

Ephemeral

Serendipity

Umbrella

Antimony

Furtive

Paramour

I don't know why I like them....I just do!😀

Dark castle, You can post as many words that sound funny to you. They do sound funny.  But I looked up the meaning as the words are alien to me, hence my comment.

So carry on posting your funny words. Smiley Happy

funny word, rarely heard these days, probably because shorter words meaning fool are normally uttered!  -

Nincompoop

Samuel Johnson, the compiler of England's first proper dictionary, claims the word comes from the Latin phrase non compos mentis (“not of right mind”), and was originally a legal term.

All that we are is what we have thought.

I actually used that word sometimes in my teens. Smiley LOL

I like these ones:

Bombinate: To make a humming or buzzing noise.

Syzygy: an alignment of celestial bodies

Ratatouille

All good words.

I have always liked 'elbow' especially said in a deep voice and drawn out syllables!

I was watching a film once, forget what, when someone asked what was their favourite word and I said 'elbow' out loud to a friend watching it with me, then we were surprised and laughed when the actor in the film also chose 'elbow'!

Latin genus name for the Milk Thistle - Silybum (appeals to my inner child!)
