I don't know what part of the country you're in but have you checked locally for public bathing facilities? I lived in a very poor area of Coventry as a kid where nobody had bathrooms so everyone used the local council wash house, I used it right up until the end of the sixties. They were private cubicles with huge baths, you paid a shilling at the door and joined the queue. The baths were cleaned by staff between users and you could use as much water as you wanted. I know some swimming pools still offer the service, might be worth checking.
Don't tell anyone but the last time I had a bath was around 1995

I never knew that about public baths, butttttttttt...............................
woohoooo I can report I have just bought and paid for a tub, never thought I'd get so exited over a bath tub lol
Some lovely seller said yes to my request of postage. It was kinda like a last chance look before I went to by a tin bath from stourbiridge. just goes to show if you patiently wait you get what you need.
Thank you all so much for your input, most appreciated.
