Time-travelling through some old videos and thought to share for historical and educational purposes. Hopefully this falls within 'fair use'. If you like the song, go and buy it and/or an album, please. :)

Another "star" from times past has passed on:-

That is sad news.  He always came across as being such a gentle soul.  Unique voice.

R.I.P. David Cassidy

Ahh, David Cassidy.

I had a very big crush on him.  My mother took me to see him at Wembley.  She got me the souvenir program and he was naked from the very low hipsters up (at least the picture was from the very low hipster level up).  I was only a very young teenager - I was traumatised.

Another part of my youth chipped away.

Reading through one of my old teen magazines that I have clung on to, at the height of his fame, he is saying that he just wants to sail away to an island, grow his hair long, get very sunburnt and live out his days that way.

R.I.P. David - peace at last.

That is a very innocent picture compared to the ones that are in the book - I still kept it by the wayWoman Wink

I always thought of her as the lady on the chair.

Johnny Hallyday died.  Unknown to most of the UK but was massive in France and the French speaking world.  He was their Elvis.

I saw that too CD only 60 and yet I thought he was younger than that, ah well this thread continues to confirm the certainty that is death.

He could always put smiles on faces.

Heinz Wolff, scientist and Great Egg Race presenter, dies at 89

I always thought of him as being a very charming man.

I dunno about the egg race, but he invented cracking Tomato soup👀

I remember Him doing the 1975 Royal Institution Christmas Lectures

Think it was those, that got Him noticed for the later Science shows
